Officially walking the Left Hand Path since 06 October 2011. Unofficially, unknowingly for about 9 years. Student of Satan. I do not wear all black everyday, eat babies, sacrifice goats or hang out in graveyards casting spells, (well, not everyday, at least. *hah*).

Satanism has been wrongly stigmatized, feared and sensationalized in American culture since its modern revival in 1966. If more people realized that many Satanists shun the idea of supernatural deities of any type, Heaven and Hell, Good and Evil.. well maybe they could see it for what it is: a philosophy, a lifestyle… NOT a “devil-worshipping” religion of negativity and death.

Granted, we certainly do enjoy the entertainment of the imagery. It has been said that LaVey donned the corny devil horns in order to draw mass attention to the deeper philosophy that so many simply cannot grasp. Most of us do not waste our valuable energy on gloom and doom, but rather a quest for both self-improvement and indulgence (in a responsible way, of course ^_^).

Most of us do not like to wear our beliefs as a badge on our breasts, (though the shocking showmanship is certainly part of the lifestyle for some, like me). We do not try to convert because Satanists are born, not bred. We do not care if you believe or understand, but tolerance would be appreciated.

I created this page as an online grimoire, mainly for myself. Read with an open mind, knowing that I am not trying to convert but merely express myself and maybe inform.

Hate me, fear me, love me, shun me… I couldn’t care less. These are my beliefs, my True Nature. You aren’t going to change my mind by telling me that I’m “going to Hell”. Feel free to debate with me though if you like, I enjoy a good laugh at the weak minded ignorance of the subservient masses.

As someone brand new to this lifestyle, I may not always have my facts straight. Feel free to let me know if you see something inaccurate, (if you actually know what you’re talking about).satanasgnosis@gmail.com.

It’s amazing how many “religions” are given such a bad stereotype simply by a few and it spreads instead of looking yourself and deciding. (I know- think for myself?!)

You know the basis of my religion, but unlike a sad majority I am finding of LDS, I am a free thinker. My parents raised me with this quote- “I am more afraid that this people have so much confidence in their leaders that they will not inquire for themselves of God whether they are led by him. I am fearful they settle down in a state of blind self-security, trusting their eternal destiny in the hands of their leaders with a reckless confidence that in itself would thwart the purposes of God in their salvation.”- Brigham Young, Journal of Discourses.

I can’t thank you enough for your comment and perspective, Kira! It is amazing to see a person of your religious beliefs able to read my ideas without shutting them out totally at the word ‘Satan’. I have been attracted to the philosophy more than anything, and as I’ve mentioned it actually goes right along with a lot of self-help type books that everyone reads. There’s just a bit more of a radical twist, I suppose. 😛

      Good quote!
